The network supports its members and promotes anaerobic fungi in a variety of different ways. Listed below are just some of the things that we do:

  • regular mailing list for distributing information about anaerobic fungi as well as other related resources and opportunities,
  • maintain a directory of anaerobic fungal researchers
  • help organise international workshops and gatherings to discuss key challenges and opportunities of relevance to the anaerobic fungi research community,
  • webinar series,
  • development and maintenance of databases for taxonomic annotation of anaerobic fungal sequence data,
  • development of publications and mechanisms to communicate knowledge,
  • social media platforms for broader communication of news and knowledge,
  • a website where anaerobic fungi news, information and resources can be centrally shared to the public.
