Welcome to the homepage of the Anaerobic Fungi Network (AFN)!
The AFN is a network of ~200 researchers world-wide interested in research on anaerobic (gut) fungi (Phylum Neocallimastigomycota). It was established in 2011 by Dr Joan Edwards, who has spearheaded a team of volunteers to support the broad range of activities run by the AFN ever since.
