The network supports its members and promotes anaerobic fungi in a variety of different ways. Listed below are just some of the things that we do:
- regular mailing list for distributing information about anaerobic fungi as well as other related resources and opportunities,
- maintain a directory of anaerobic fungi network members in order to facilitate collaboration & contact among members,
- help organize international workshops and gatherings to discuss key challenges and opportunities of relevance to the anaerobic fungi research community,
- webinar series,
- organize and run the biennial International Anaerobic Fungi Congress (IAFC),
- development and maintenance of databases for taxonomic annotation of anaerobic fungi sequence data,
- development of publications and mechanisms to communicate knowledge,
- use social media platforms for broader communication of anaerobic fungi related news and knowledge,
- maintain this website where anaerobic fungi news, information and resources can be centrally shared to the public.
